I’m originally from Baltimore, MD currently living in Atlanta, GA. I love writing, reading, and cooking (oh yeah and eating!). My first novel is entitled “Promises Made, Promises Kept”. It follows the life of Mia Lawson, a teen from Atlanta that has to face the challenges of dealing with her mother’s mental illness and addiction as well as her father abandoning his family because of her mother’s issues.

I encourage you to read the book and think about how you and your family may have handled some of the issues that the Lawson and Reed families encounter. I’m sure you’ll find a lot of yourself or someone you know in the characters!
